In this article, we’ll go through the steps to submit a customer repair job in the Point of Sale (POS) module within Flawless POS. This is useful for managing repairs or enhancements to existing inventory items that customers own, such as jewelry or battery replacements.

Step 1: Access the Point of Sale Module
To get started:
Open your Left Navigation Menu.
Click the Sale menu option to access the Point of Sale module.
Step 2: Initiate the Repair Job
Click on the Repair Intake item.
Select an Existing Customer or create a New Customer (check out our article on creating new customers if needed). For this example, we’ll be using the customer named Lequirus.
Choose the Product the customer is providing for repair. If the item wasn't sold by you, you can create a new item for repair. For this example, we’ll select the Yellow Diamond Engagement Ring.
Step 3: Complete the Repair Intake Details
In the Repair Intake section:
Fill in details such as the Job Name, Description, Desired Completion Date, and Declared Value of the item.
Note: The Product field shows the item needing repair, and you can modify it by clicking the product name.
In the Parts & Labor section, enter the estimated labor cost and any additional parts (e.g., batteries). This does not need to be exact and can be updated before the customer picks up the repaired item.
Note: You also have the option to tick the Tax box.This would indicate that the certain Part & Labor would be taxed.
Once complete, press the OK button.
Step 4: Complete the Repair Job Submission
The Checkout screen will now display the Product and Service details from the repair intake process.
From here:
Follow the standard checkout process for submitting a sale. (Refer to our Submitting a Sale Article if needed.)
When the customer is ready to pick up or if you're shipping the repaired item, select Special or Pickup Order.
