This article provides a guide on receiving a customer trade-in piece through the Point of Sale (POS) module.

Step 1: Access the POS Module
Open the Point of Sale module:
Open the left navigation menu.
Click on the Sale menu option.
Step 2: Start the Trade-in Process
Press the Trade-in button.
Select the customer:
If needed, create a new customer profile (as discussed in the previous article).
For this example, we’ll select an existing customer with the name Lequirus
Step 3: Add the Trade-in Product
In the Product selection section, either:
Choose an item from your collection, or
Press New Product in the top left to create a unique product for the trade-in. For this example, we’ll be creating a new product.
Select the Custom View for product creation if you have any available custom view that you wish to use.
Step 4: Finalize the Product Details
Once you’re satisfied with the product details, press OK to add it to the Cart.
You may customize the following details such as the Price, Count, Shipping Charge, and Discount.
Note that the Quantity line is negative, indicating that the item is being bought from the customer, effectively issuing credit.
Step 5: Complete the Sale and Confirm Stock
Proceed with the checkout to complete the trade-in.
Once the sale is submitted, click View Sale to confirm the transaction details.
To verify that the item has been added to your stock:
Click on the Sale module in the left navigation.
Search for the SKU of the trade-in item. For this example, the SKU of the item is RT-2000039
Confirm that the item now appears in stock.
