Why isn’t my allocation picklist appearing in the task list?

Modified on Tue, 14 Oct at 12:39 PM

If an allocation picklist is not appearing in your Task List, it’s likely because the order is tied to a Sales Order Service Job rather than a standard Sales Order. The Task List on the dashboard only displays Sales Orders with pending items to pick, which is why the picklist may not be visible there.

How to Locate the Allocation Picklist:

  1. Check the Wholesale Account Orders Tab:

    • Go to the Wholesale Accounts module.

    • Open the account associated with the order.

    • Navigate to the Orders tab.

    • You will find the Allocation Picklist available here, even if it doesn’t appear in the dashboard’s Task List.

  2. Understand the Allocation Behavior:

    • The allocation is still functioning as expected and will process normally.

    • When linked to a Sales Order Service Job, picking works the same way as it does for standard Sales Orders, but it won’t generate a separate dashboard task.

  3. Confirm Status:

    • Verify that the picklist appears under the Orders tab for the corresponding Wholesale Account.

    • The Picked All or Some Not Available statuses will indicate the progress of your allocation.

Why This Happens:

  • The Task List dashboard is designed to show only Sales Orders pending allocation or picking.

  • Service Jobs tied to a Sales Order don’t create a separate task entry in this dashboard view.

  • As a result, these allocations must be managed directly from the Wholesale Account > Orders tab.
