How to Look Up Commissions using the available Reports

In this article, we’ll guide you through the process of using different Flawless POS reports to understand commission structures and shared commissions for employees. Follow these steps to access, review, and interpret commission data.

Step 1: Prepare Sales Data

To illustrate commission tracking, we created the following four separate sales:

  • Sale 1: Standard sale of $1,000 with one salesperson.

  • Sale 2: Sale involving two salespeople with an 80/20 commission split.

  • Sale 3: Special order sale (non-commissionable).

  • Sale 4: Special order for future pickup and payment.

Step 2: Access the Report Module

Navigate to the left menu in Flawless POS.

  1. Click on the Reports Menu to expand it.

  2. Select All Reports to access the report options.

     




Step 3: Analyze Employee Sales Commission Breakdown Report

  1. From the Reports module, go to the Store tab.

  2. Locate the Employee Sales Commission Breakdown report.

  1. Use the Date Filter to select the period for which you want to view sales (for example, 10/24 to 11/1).

     





Review Sale Entries

For this example, we’ll be using 5 reports coming from Chester and TestingJake, you’ll find sales entries similar to the following:

  • Entry 1: Regular sale ($1,000) with a 3% commission ($30).



  • Entries 2 & 3: Sales with two salespeople.

    • Employee 1: $800 (80% share).

    • Employee 2: $200 (20% share). 


  • Entry 4: Special order sale (non-commissionable, $0).



     


  • Entry 5: Pending special order (also non-commissionable).



     



Step 4: Review Employee Wages Overview Report

  1. From the Reports module, go to the Store tab.

  2. Locate the Employee Wages Overview report.

  1. Use the Date Filter to select the period (e.g., 10/24 to 11/1).

     



Analyze Results

In this report:

  • The Sales Total for commissionable transactions is $3,000.

  • Commission Share Total indicates $2,000 (showing one non-commissionable special order).

                  Review the commission split to verify correct allocation, with one salesperson reflecting a 20%                        share.




Step 5: Examine Daily Report - Sales Details by Salesperson

  1. In the Reports module, search for Daily Report - Sales.

  2. Select Daily Report - Sales Details by Salesperson.


  1. Set the Date Filter (e.g., 10/24 to 11/1) and click Run Report Now.



      

     



Review Commission Earned

This report provides a breakdown of sales by individual salesperson, showing only commissionable sales.


 

  • Special orders with incomplete items will not appear unless the "include incomplete" slider is enabled.


  • Verify the total commissionable amount, commission percentage, and earned amount in the respective columns.
