Step 1: Access Admin Functions
Open any Sale Overview and locate the Admin button in the top-right corner. For this example we’ll be using a sale that was made by a customer named Rain.
Click to reveal admin options. This article will cover the first two options; the bottom two options for voiding a sale are in a separate article.
Step 2: Update Sale Date
Select Update Sale Date if the sale was added to the POS on a different date than the original sale.
Choose the correct date from the calendar. (In this demo, we select November 2nd as the updated sale date.)
Step 3: Update Sale Details
Choose the Update Sale Details option to modify various fields.
Salesperson: To change the salesperson, click their name. In the Sales Commission dialog, you can add a new salesperson and adjust the commission split (e.g., 50-50).
Customer: Change the customer by selecting the Pick Customer dialog and choosing a different profile (e.g., select "Lequirus").
Billing and Shipping Address: To update addresses, choose the Billing Address option, and modify details as needed (e.g., change the customer’s state).
Notes: Add any additional information to the sale in this section.
SVCS/Shipping: Modify the shipping or service costs.
Add Payment/Refund: Allows you to add another payment or perform a refund of the sale.
Step 4: Adjust Item Cost
In the Sale Lines section, click Load item cost to view and update the cost per item post-sale.
Step 5: Add Payments or Refunds
Scroll to the Payments section and select Add payment to add new payments or refunds.
In the dialog, press Add Payment and choose a payment method from the dropdown menu (e.g., add a $100 cash payment).
Note: This feature is meant for correcting original sale errors, not as a substitute for layaway payments.
